Silver Desert 45th Anniversary Tournament & Championship

Saturday September 30th, 2023
Reno, Nevada

From the West Kingdom History page: The first meeting of the Silver Desert was a potluck dinner and revel held on September 30, 1978. The members of a sci-fi club on campus, called Starbase 36, saw an SCA demo and thought we should form an SCA group. At 12th Night, three months later, 25 people came to Court and asked to be formerly made a Shire. We became known as the 'pop-up shire'.
To honor that event, we invite one and all – especially those who came over the pass in those first few years and taught us EVERYTHING – to come and help us celebrate with games, food and fun.

We will also be holding our unique Championship. Details on this years' weird competitions will follow but generally, there is nothing you can do to prepare! Bwahahaha!

We will have a potluck dinner with the Province providing the main meat dish.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS - more details to follow!
